With the rising numbers of COVID cases and uncertainty of what restrictions may be in force in May, the State Officers have made the very difficult decision to hold the 119th Annual Washington State Convention in a virtual format. The risk to our member's health and the possible financial impact are simply too great for us to move forward in person. While not the ideal format, this is the best way for us to meet our annual meeting requirement and take care of critical business while protecting the health of the membership. We needed to make the decision now to give the hotel as much as possible to try to find another group for their facilities.
Only elected Council delegates and hosts designated by the State Deputy will be allowed to participate in the State Convention. All delegates must review and be prepared to consider Minutes of the 2021 Washington State Convention, proposed Resolutions and the list of nominations for State Office before the Washington State virtual Convention, which will be held on 14 May 2022. Our organizational Bylaws require that we elect State Council officers and approve or discard resolutions proposed by individual Councils as well as the State Council. We will also elect Insurance and Associate members as delegates and alternates for the 2022 Supreme Convention and conduct other business as necessary. Please contact State Council Secretary Greg Mahoney at statesecretary@kofc-wa.org should you have questions or require additional information. Please read the documents provided on this link before calling. Information will evolve as we get closer to the Convention. Links will populate as we move forward.
