Greetings,

I would like to thank all of you for putting forth the effort in getting the Soccer Challenge rolling. We had a short time frame to work with and we have set a good baseline from which to expand the event.

Unfortunately with the short time frame, there has been a lack of information for a confirmed date for the state final. Through the efforts of DD12 Geg Vicars and Joe Winters from Auburn, we have a date set. Unfortunately the time is not the best, it is soccer season and getting a field with a desirable time is almost next to impossible.

The schedule as of now is: (I would be open to moving the final if someone can find a field for Sunday November 8th with an earlier time.)

Time – 3:30 – 5:00 PM

Worthy DDs,

DDs 7, 8, 12, 15, 17, 20, 22, 29, & 33 Thank you for already responding to my previous post you do not need to read any further.

All other DDs, I need to know if you will be holding a district Free Throw?

The State will be placing an order with Supreme for district medallions for each participating district. If I do not hear from you, I will assume that you will not be holding a district Free Throw. The plan is to have the medallions ready to hand out at the DDs meeting in December. Orders from Supreme take 4 - 6 weeks to process so time is crucial.

In the near future, I will be sending out a request for your district's competition date, time and location as well as looking for districts to host a regional competition. This information will be passed along to update the state newsletter and web site.
